I Was Her is an immersive domestic violence simulation designed to help community leaders and decision-makers experience the realities survivors face firsthand. Through real-life scenarios, participants will develop greater empathy, recognize systemic barriers, and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges survivors encounter when seeking safety, support, and resources.
The experience brings together leaders across government, policy, the judicial and legal systems, law enforcement, public safety, healthcare, and survivor advocacy to strengthen collaboration and improve community responses.
Participants will leave with greater insight into survivor realities and a clearer understanding of how informed leadership, stronger support systems, and meaningful policy change can create safer, more responsive communities for women and families.
